SPORTS
Sport plays a big part in Cook Islanders' lives and 2009 was a particularly busy sporting year. We hosted the World Youth Netball Championships with 20 teams of young netballers from all over the world. This was followed by the Pacific Mini Games with athletes from 21 Pacific island countries competing in 15 different sporting codes.
