Passionfruit
In one area of my garden I had a passionfruit vine that was having a hard time among vigorous shrubs and creepers.
I spent some time - and energy - rehabilitating it; clearing away the unwanted growth and organising string to act as a framework.
It has certainly paid off.
The flowers are stunning. Pollinators think so too.
The vine has now got about thirty fruit in various stages of growth.
They are still green but will turn a shade of purple when ripe and sweet. Just the thing for breakfast.
The pictures show a beautiful flower and a series showing the progression from flower to fruit.
